Table Mountain is now confirmed as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. It must have been your votes (together with 100 million votes from 220 countries - impressive!)

Table Mountain has taken the fifth spot on the New 7 Wonders of the World ranking in the catogory Nature.  See www.n7w.com. 

The natural wealth of the Western Cape is indeed unique and impressive:  the Fynbos vegetation is the most varied yet the smallest of this planet's 6 floral kingdoms. But from the point of view of the traveller  it is nature in combination with  the world class urban buzz of Cape Town that makes it so unique.  See previous blog!

But the 7 Wonders organisation has not got a separate list for "Nature & Culture Miracles in One Spot". So we are happy - thanks for the votes!
