Description

This beautiful is situated on private land between Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks. Maramboi is one of those addresses that we regard as just right: a beautiful location in a natural environment, small-scale but not so small that it’s difficult to attain a good level of service (about 30 tents), good food and service, real safari feel, big well-fitted tents with enough privacy, inviting swimming pool as well as being located in a useful place between Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Park. The view all around is good and game regularly treks past migrating between Tarangire and the Parks further to the north. On arrival there is a small reception and toilet on the left. Then the main area, consisting of a vast wooden deck under thatch containing a lounge with comfortable chairs, a deck for sundowners and the restaurant. Connected to this is a wooden walkway leading to a small round swimming pool. In the midst of nature, one can safely enjoy the surroundings, the birds, the sunset (or sunrise?) and quite often the grazing animals passing by. The tents are situated a short walk from the main area to reduce the noise. They are unusually big, also built on raised wooden platforms, with simple but spacious bathrooms with shower, toilet and useful clothes/luggage rack. Should you take fright at a dangerous animal hanging around your tent, there is always the whistle attached to your room key. Electricity is generated by a number of sun panels. A fine relatively undiscovered destination.
